Passport photo for Jamaica

PICA specifies a pastel background for light complexions, white for dark complexions, and pale blue or pastel for grey or white hair. Choose the background before taking the photo.

• Photo size must be 35 x 45 mm.
• Head height should fill 56-78% of the photo.
• Eye line should be about 55% up from the bottom edge.
• Submit a color photo.
• Keep a neutral facial expression.
• Keep your mouth closed.
• Photo must be taken within the last 6 months.
• 2 identical photos are required.

Print export preset: 413 × 531 pixels at 300 dpi. Online applications may require a different file size.

This is a summary, not an acceptance guarantee. Some applications require an approved photographer, a digital photo code or a photo taken at the issuing office. AI changes, background replacement and retouching may be prohibited. Check the official rules before editing or submitting.

PICA requires two identical, recent colour photos with a matte finish. Face length should be 25–35 mm, with a 3–4 mm margin between the head and the photo edge. Photos must be dated and certified by an authorised person under PICA’s instructions; downloading a photo does not provide certification.

1. Check the official requirements and whether your application accepts a photo you prepare yourself.
2. Take a recent photo facing the camera, with even lighting and the required plain background. Avoid filters and changes to your appearance.
3. If self-prepared photos are accepted, use the matching crop preset and export a single photo or print sheet. Check the dimensions and print at actual size, without scaling.
